To walk and work and enjoy the countryside together (while socially distanced).

The public footpath that follows Afon Crewi upstream from Melinbyrhedyn has become very overgrown in places. In November we walked this route and managed to clear quite a lot of encroaching undergrowth. We hope to complete the task (so the public footpath is at least passable for the present) on 17 December. We will not be walking fast but the terrain is rough, muddy and slippy so this walk / activity is for people who feel steady on their feet.

We have thought carefully about making this activity as covid-safe as reasonably possiblebut of course we cannot eliminate all risk. There will be eight places: each place can be taken by one person or one ‘social bubble’ (as described in government guidelines) of two.

The walk is commissioned by the Dolau Dyfi Project. This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the
Welsh Government.

• To show people some new walks.
• To improve access to the public rights of way in the area – for the benefit of all (walkers, landowners etc.)

Distance and ascent- 6km (4 miles), very little climb.

Leaders – Jenny Dingle (MLC, First Aid for Outdoor Leaders) and Fiona Moran
