We will walk to Llyn Llygad Rheidol and then climb steeply to the summit of Pumlumon from where we should have a magnificent view of this historic area.
Angharad Fychan from the Welsh Place Name Society is particularly knowledgeable about this area and will be our expert guide, pointing out and explaining the names of places we pass and see on route.
Part of this walk, the climb up to to Pen Pumlumon Fawr, is very steep and fairly uneven underfoot. We will take this nice and steady and of course people can stop for rests but we are climbing a mountain.
