Livestock Checkers Training Course

£50.00

Would you like to help to look after Oxwich National Nature Reserve? This could be the course for you! Conservation grazing is essential for keeping our landscape beautiful and full of wildlife. We rely on ponies, cattle and sheep to graze our nature rich areas and sometimes these places are remote and only accessible by footpath. Farmers and graziers need local people to help them to check their livestock. Would you like to learn basic livestock checking skills in order to help out? PONT are running a LANTRA accredited training course at Oxwich and Penrice Community Hall on Wednesday 8th August 2018 (9am-4pm). The course is free of charge for Gower residents, but please book your space in advance. Contact Emma Douglas – PONT’s South Wales Regional Development Officer on 07579 008578 or emma.douglas@pontcymru.org. Booking essential, spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
