Remember Jean from last Pony Corner? This week she was happy to be reunited with some old friends at Butterfly Conservations Caeau Ffos Fach Nature Reserve in Cross Hands.
This site is also managed for the endangered Marsh Fritillary butterfly. Jean and Co. are doing a great job of grazing off some of the rank grassland and creating the lovely mosaic of habitat structure that this butterfly favours.
PONT have been helping on this nature reserve for a number of years now. Butterfly Conservation staff and volunteers do a great job each year to manage the habitat appropriately and monitor the population of Marsh Frits here.
Jean will be on this reserve for a short spell before heading off to her next site. Where will they go next?!
