Hello, my name is Richard Jones, and I am the project officer for Dolau Dyfi, a Welsh Government Sustainable Management Scheme supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
Born and bred in Dolgellau, I live on our family farm where we keep a herd of Shetland cattle, bucket rear Hereford and Aberdeen Angus cross heifer calves until they are ready to go to the bull, and keep a few Welsh Section B ponies.
I have previously worked as a project officer on a similar environmental project for the Snowdonia National Park Authority, but most recently had an agri-environment contracting company before taking up the role with PONT as the Dolau Dyfi project officer.
I look forward to the challenge, and meeting new people within the Dyfi catchment and beyond. Please feel free to speak or write to me in Welsh, especially if you are a learner, as I am a fluent Welsh speaker.
