Amanda Evans

I work for Carmarthenshire County Council as a Conservation Project Officer on a landscape scale Marsh Fritillary butterfly habitat project.

My job involves working with local landowners, livestock owners and contractors to manage habitat in a way which is sustainable in the future.

I have recently been involved in controlled grassland burning in partnership with MWWFRS and am interested in the benefits this can have for restoring neglected habitat and reducing fire risks.

Previously I have run a farm business with my husband and worked for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Environment Agency Wales, DEFRA, Carmarthen Livestock Centre and Carmarthenshire County Council Animal Licencing.
