RESPONSIBLE USE OF THE COUNTRYSIDE DURING LOCKDOWN The farming community is under added strain from misuse of farmland as playgrounds, parks and even BBQ sites during lockdown (NNFU Cymru. Please show consideration for the farming community during this time. Use footpaths in a respectful manner and respect social distancing rules. Diolch

Thank you all, we are behind you every step of the way.  #welshfarmers   #farming   #farmingwales   #thankyou

In the context of Brexit there are more opportunities for it, too, which will also improve biodiversity, carbon storage, windbreaks and reduce

This month  #GrazieroftheMonth  are Sorcha and Brian Lewis. Sorcha and Brian ( @farming .foto) farm in the Heart of the Elan Valley and graze their stunning wildflower meadows with welsh mountain sheep and hereford cattle. The farm supports a huge list of species, including small pearl bordered fritillary butterfly, globeflower, meadow thistle, greater butterfly orchid, wood bitter vetch, wild mountain pansy, cuckoos, curlew and Welsh clearwing moth. ''The cattle and sheep are such useful management tools on the ground and though stock can get much flack for the damage they can do when in the wrong place at the wrong time, they
